The Center and several of our Members have been chosen to be the featured organization and artists during the month of September at Joe Momma’s downtown location (112 S. Elgin). Please feel free to join us at the opening of the Center Art Show.
The opening is Wednesday, September 1st, from 6-8 pm, and the artwork of 14 Center Members will be on display through the month of September. Approximately 25 pieces that will be on display and for sale, with prices ranging from $50 - $190.
Help us spread the word . . . feel free to forward this email to invite family and friends to the opening . . . Joe Momma’s is a fun place, they have great food and there will even be entertainment the night of the opening. I am pleased to announce the winners of the 2010 Mercedes Benz Car Raffle at The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges:
Grand Prize Winner: Mike Payne
(choice of 2010 Mercedes Benz C300 Sport Sedan OR $25,000 cash) – ticket #232 [as you can see, he chose the car!]
1st Prize Winner: Dave Davis
(2 round trip airline tickets anywhere in the continental US – up to a $900 value) – ticket #296

We greatly appreciate the support of all those purchased tickets, sold tickets, provided media coverage and supported this effort. We ended up selling 402 tickets. “Congrats” and “thank you” is also in order to Gary Bartlett and Gerald Roulet for selling the most tickets, 28 and 26 respectively.

The Center’s Junior Wheelchair Sports [JWCS] progam includes track and field as well as basketball. At a National JWCS Track & Field competition in Chicago the week of July 19th, two of The Center’s JWCS track and field team won four gold medals!! Congratulations go to:
Kyle Hutchison who won two gold medals by placing first in the Shot Put and first in the Discus.
Logan Shaw also won two gold medals by placing first in Javelin and first in Discus in his division.
We want to acknowledge all of the youth who traveled and participated on behalf of The Center for their efforts. Congratulations also go to Coach Bradley Forbes!

G. Sartain Poster Artwork
Special 25th Anniversary Bartlett Regatta commemorative items will be available June 7th!
The 2010 Bartlett Regatta is honored to have well-known artist and entainer Gailard Sartain design a poster for the 25th Anniversary of this event! Posters, signed and unsigned, will be available to the general public on June 7th.
The 2010 Bartlett Regatta T-shirts with the poster artwork will also be available on June 7th, in limited quantities and sizes.
