The Center Experience is a team-building event, focused on physical disability awareness. The goal of the event is to help build a culture of inclusion in the workplace and in the Tulsa community. Your teams will get the opportunity to participate in adaptive sports and educational activities that illustrate the daily challenges those with physical disabilities face. Adaptive sports add an element of competition and fun that help encourage participants to work together to overcome these challenges. Participants will gain an understanding of what it is like to have a disability making them more informed, aware and accepting.

Team Registration

  • 4-6 individuals/ team
  • Choose morning or afternoon participation
  • Lunch provided
  • Participation in 6 different activities
  • Team led by a Center Member “coach’
  • Event T-shirt for each teammate
  • Goodie Bag for each teammate

Traditional softball in a manual sport wheelchair.
Goalball is an auditory/tactile sport played by athletes who are blind or visually impaired (players wear opaque eyeshades at all times ensuring fair competition). The object of the game is to roll the ball in a bowling motion in attempt to have it cross over the defending team's goal line, scoring a point.
Power soccer allows people who recently never had the opportunity to participate in sports the ability to play the most popular sport in the world with the use of a power chair to maneuver the soccer ball around the field.

an opportunity for your team to work together against the clock using adaptive strategies to complete familiar daily tasks
Teams will experience the use of oil pastels to complete a specific project & gain information on adaptive strategies for various Member involvement.
Please look for an email from us after submitting your registration. We need info on each player and waivers signed. Individuals team players can fill out forms online.
