Jr. Jammers – Youth Team
Currently, this sports program is The Center’s only offering for youth.
ELIGIBILITY
Youth ages 7-18 (prior to graduation). A player must have an irreversible lower extremity disability such as paralysis, amputation, or radiological evidence of limb shortening (partial to full), ankyloses (stiffness of a joint due to abnormal adhesion, injury or disease) or joint replacement, which consistently interferes with mobility. REQUIRED PAPERWORK
To become a Jr. Jammer, you must submit a membership application, minimal disability form, a copy of your birth certificate and if a Junior or Senior in high school, we must have a copy of your high school enrollment. Annual dues are $120.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Practices are held weekly on Tuesdays at 3:00 – 4:30p and Thursdays at 5:00 – 7:00p at The Center, 815 S. Utica Ave. Tulsa, OK 74104.
SPORT PARTICIPATION
The main focus of the Jr. Jammers is wheelchair basketball. In addition, the team will practice and compete in track & field events throughout the year. The Jr. Jammers compete in 3 – 5 basketball tournaments per season and attend occasional special events or clinics. Transportation and travel accommodations will be additional expense.
EQUIPMENT
The Center has sport wheelchairs for players to use. If you have your own, feel free to use it.
Tulsa Jammers – Adult Team
